Me 2 You – February 2021
Welcome to our new home, I’ll like to thank long-time collaborator Ashley for designing this website again.
I have launched a revised blog site and would like to thank long-time collaborator Ashley for designing this website again. There are a few tweaks I think we need to make in the background, but overall, I am happy with the design of the website. But we would love your feedback.
This month because of the move to the new website I needed to spend a weekend tidying up and uploading the graphics as they weren’t able to be transferred as easily as the written content. I have also written about a few topics which I hope to share with you when they are finished
I made it onto The Last Leg with this question, about the council meeting, “#IsItOK to ask if #HandforthParishCouncil will be covered on @TheLastLeg.” This was one moment in lockdown I think we all needed to lift our spirits as we struggle through this third lockdown.
This month we lost Captain Sir Tom Moore has died aged 100 after testing positive for coronavirus, his daughters, Hannah Ingram-Moore and Lucy Teixeira, say the last year of their father’s life has been “nothing short of remarkable” and “rejuvenated him”.
Captain Sir Tom, I think shone a light in this pandemic walking lengths of his garden raising money for the NHS, something which he shouldn’t have to have done if we had a properly funded NHS. Though there is a need for charity because it funds non-healthcare needs like over bed TVs, day rooms and the support for staff.
I had my first dose of a coronavirus vaccine on Wednesday and the organisation of the vaccine centre was excellently organised by the CGG with all the distancing measures.
The moment was small but a big step for us towards normally again, thinking about it know it feels quite emotional, I have been housebound basically for most of the last year.
Driving into town it did seem odd lockdown in rush hour it felt like it was the middle of the day, not much traffic about as I headed through town. Vaccine one done, the way out another step nearer, Covid will be controlled like any other virus. I am feeling rather positive after having the first dose of the vaccine.
I am still working on content, but I know with Bahrain just around the corner with both testing and the opening race in March soon it will mean more time needing to be spent on F1.
I think next months The Question will be ‘What is our responsibilities to the world?’, just got bits to finish off and then edited. Hopefully, I’ll get that finished before the Sakhir Pre-Season Test.
