Me 2 You – June 2019
There may not be a lot going on this site at the moment, but I am working on new content. As I wrote last month, finding time to write content when my main focus is covering Formula One is hard, I also want to spend time doing practical campaigning and working to improve our world.
I haven’t had the weekends, either I’ve been out of the house spending time with friends or covering F1. When I haven’t been doing that most of my focus has been on ‘project 25’, coming up later in the year. I was recently sat in a church meeting, the point of this blog is to look at the things I care about the most.
July could be the same story with Silverstone, Hockenheim and Budapest in just four weeks.
I wish I had thought of writing something for pride month, but when I thought of it I thought to plan, write and edit would take more than the time available in the month. Hopefully, next year I’ll get my act together, and actually do it.
I believe pride, while a celebration of LGBT rights foremost is about more than that, a song which if you have seen my Instagram, which sums up pride for me is June, Florence + The Machine.
What does Pride mean? For me, it is not only about being LGBT and celebrating that but the colour of life and accepting everyone who is different. This would have been a good post to write about, I might do that at some point.

I don’t know if it was a planned song, “those heavy days in June when love became an act of defiance”, written by Florence Welch. I Don’t know if that was a planned lyric, but I know Welch is a strong supporter of LGBT rights.
Post I’m working on is about faith and being LGBT, I have and planning to look at this with others to help me with the accuracy of interruptions of scripture. That’s never been my strong point, but faith for me is more about community and making a difference.
You can’t help but be amused by how low the Tory leadership has become a drug war. I’m not a Tory and am a Labour campaigner, but I believe that this has turned into ridiculous media hysteria, but it undermines the credibility of any leader when it comes to future drug legislation.
Boris v Hunt, neither of who I like. Remembering my NHS piece, Hunt created something you can describe as fake news about junior doctors not working weekends. The Tory have in my view, created the crisis by cutting social care, I have already written about this.
This month my weekends have mainly been filled with F1 and other things meaning I’ve not had time to develop things in content. I found three hours in the week before the French Grand Prix to note down ideas and develop ideas.
Towards the end of this week, I’m off to Cornwall, a time to refresh and write things which may come out over the coming months. I’m happy though, its more important I’m living my life, rather in a bunker writing content.
Hopefully, the coming weeks away gives me more time to write although my focus will be on having a break!
