Me 2 You – Project 25
Its June, writing this edition of Me 2 You feels odd but I’m writing this as I develop the project. The idea came during looking at possible new topics to write about in May/June time, it then grew into a series this is hopefully the sixth part.
What I want to do is look back on why I chose these five topics, The World and all Me, The Next 25, My home city, Technology Revolution and lessons I have learned over the last twenty-five years. This is the reason why I haven’t brought you much content along with other projects with organisations.
Part One – The World and Me
This post was about writing about the global events which have happened and the actions of politicians that been made. I believe the biggest stories have started from the ‘War on Terror’ and the financial crisis. We have come a long way on some issues and on others we have a long way to go…
Part Two – The Question – The Next Twenty Five
The last twenty-five years have been dramatic, and I wanted to look ahead to the challenges the world faces which will affect all of our life’s. I must stress this is not a prediction of what I think is going to happen, more a look of the challenges we face as a global community.
Part Three – My Home city
This was originally written as a stand-alone piece, I thought it would be good to hold this back. I wanted to go behind the normal picture you get of Bath, to try and paint the non-tourist view. Obviously, its not perfect but I think it gets to the real heart of the issues we face here in our city…
Part Four – Technology Revolution
I believe that the biggest stories of my life which continues to shape our life’s, but the challenges we faced by technology. We are going to have to look at the benefits of technology, but there are risks which we are unaware of. I wanted to look at this as a person who has grown up and is dependant on technology to communicate.
Part Five – Lessons of
This post is not about telling you how to resolve your problems or about the challenges I have faced. It is about the life lesson’s I think we all need to learn.
I want this post to be a reflection on the early part of my life, but not only that what I have learnt over the years. This is not about giving advice, it is about thinking about the lessons we all need to learn, but we forget them.
As I write this, I think to a mess I got months ago ‘keep filling it with well written, informative and error-free content.’ Something I hope to do rather than planning these big series but give me time.
In a few weeks’ time, I’ll look back on the year and have a look ahead to the year ahead. I hope to be more organised.
But, for now, I wish you a happy Christmas and new year,
Jack
