Me 2 You – August 2020
Hello,
I want to be honest with you the reader, the intensity of doing three Grand Prix weekends and producing weekday news coverage as well as analysis has left me with very little capacity for this site. This is only likely to last until the end of the year, but we still don’t know how this pandemic is going to play out.
I have mentioned before a book I’m currently writing; I don’t know what I am going to with this book which documents the pandemic. I reached a milestone in writing this, 100 pages and six months, I think it will be a good thing to explore doing something with it.
My Coronavirus book/dairy is progressing and is easily the longest thing I’ve ever written, thinking about what I want to do with it also had another idea once the pandemic is over.
This month The Question, it was a mixture of personal experiences and ideas from the research I did into what forms our Identity. I approached this by breaking it up into induvial things we do, our leisure and who we associate with.
This has been something sat in my computer for about a year, which I forgot about while focusing on Project 25, and other things have come up. Ideas take time, some ideas I had forgotten about.
While thinking about ‘The Question’ I realised what I enjoy about doing this, its about exploring a topic. September is unlikely to feature one, as I’m beginning to write about the US Election, one which I believe is going to be interesting.
This month, the Formula One agenda has been dominated by something I call ‘Brake Duct Wars’, it’s a very complicated story but one which I believe
I have some exciting news, in the next few months or by this time next year I am planning to move to a stand-alone website, dropping WordPress as a visible sign. But the system for me will remain the same, design is being done by Ashley more on that soon.
The triple headers are slowing down from mid-September until late-November, meaning there is more time on those off weekends to work on this blog.
There is hope that when we get into 2021, we have ‘normal’ year, with bi-weekly weekends off and if I’m not fully back to normal Monday’s sometimes as well.
